Karlee walked into her dorm room wearing a lacy-edged black cami, tight denim jeans and black wedges. There were two beds, she would be expecting a new roommate today. She was disappointed to see that he or she hadn't arrived yet. But, no matter, Karlee would go on with her business.
She sat her on bed, made of all black silk bed sheets. After glancing at a picture of her deceased father on her bedside, Karlee reached under her bed and pulled out her mac lap top. No, she was definitely not going to write her english essay. She was just checking her e-mail and IM.
Hearing her door open, Karlee glanced up.

Lauren pushed herself away from her desk, her chair rolled back a few feet and then hit the wall. Exhausted, she stood and closed the filing cabinet she had been placing student files into. Placing one had on her desk to hold herself up, she worked her feet out of her high heels with her other hand. It was Saturday, so she meerly wearing a plain black t-shirt and jeans. From under her desk, she pulled out a pair of converse. They were high tops, the kind that was popular back her day. Her daughter finally convinced her to buy a new pair.
After putting them on, she set off out of her office...down the stairs...and out of the main door. She was going to suprise visit her daughter. She opened the door to the Adelaide Dorm Hall and walked briskly up the set of stairs. Students left and right of her stiffened, as if they were afraid she was going to yell at them. Lauren had a difficult time hiding her smirk.
Finally, she reached room number 1. She pushed the door open, without knocking of course. Did you expect more from a mother? She walked in, shut the door and peered at her daughter whom was resting on her bed. "That's a racy top." She told her daughter, indicating the lace. "Can't you wear something more conservative?"

Karlee rolled her eyes and glared at her mother. How annoying. Didn't she have any privacy? School was a place where you got away from her parents. But Karlee was an exception. Her mother was the headmistress of the school. Karlee might as well be in boot camp. It good sometimes though, on the rare occasion when her mother got her out of detention.
"Can't you knock?" Karlee spat out. She completely ignored the comment about her top. Purposely and accidentally. Purposely because she didn't want to talk about it. Accidentally because she usually ignored comments like that from her peers.

Lauren was taken aback by Karlee's harsh words. But she wouldn't let it show to Karlee. Lauren narrowed her eyes. "I run this school, I don't have to knock. Especially into my own daughter's dorm room." Lauren took a stride toward Karlee's bed. "Let's find you something that will cover up your chest."
Lauren made her way to Karlee's dresser, after taking a sorrowful glance at the picture of her deceased husband that was on Karlee's nightstand. She opened up the second drawer, and then the third drawer. She pulled out a nice pink t-shirt and tossed it toward her daughter. "Why don't you ever wear that? Pink is your color."
