She could have read the book on politics her mother just gave her. But...what fun would that be? Her mother was so straitlaced sometimes. With nothing better to do, she headed to the skate park. Hopefully, there would be some hot guy there to seduce. Or some edgy chick to talk to.
It wasn't snowing, and the skate park was dry.
Her hair was down, in two pig-tail braids that fell over her shoulders. On, she had a white coat with brown faux fur. She had plaiin denim jeans on. Her boots matched her jacket and went up to her knees.
Karlee sat down on a bench and her eyes wandered over the various skaters. None of them seemed to have noticed her sitting there yet.

It was a winter day. It wasn't a freezing and snowing day, but it was cold. After all, what was winter suppose to be? Hot? Nope. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that winter was cold. And it didn't take Kristin Linalom long to figure that out to. This was the kind of thing they taught you in kindergarten. Summer is hot, winter is cold, and of course there's spring and autumn. A cold day didn't stop Kristin from going outside, and so she did. She didn't wear layers of clothing, but a coat did keep her feeling warm. She adored the feeling of breezes just slightly blowing on her face. She wasn't the kind of girl that would worry about many things.
Sure, it was cold, but she wasn't going to get sick immediately. Kristin's blonde hair was left down, for if she had it tied up, she might be too cold. Kristin wasn't the kind of girl to skate, but she decided to go to the skate park anyways. Why? The girl didn't want to wait for her car to warm up and the skate park wasn't too far away. Plus, it was exercise, and as much as she didn't like to exercise, it help her stay healthy. Even if she wanted to skip a day of working out [because this girl had a schedule in her mind] she would still do it. But the only exercise she would have today was walking to the skate park.
Kristin knew how to skate, but she didn't like it. The chances of getting hurt weren't very big, but she just didn't like it. But it was possible that some cute guys were skating today. Soon enough, Kristin was at the skate park and sat down on a bench. She glanced to her side to see a girl. Looks a little familiar. Does she go to Adelaide? Kristin thought to herself. She didn't do much except sit down, but soon spoke, "What's a girl like you doing here?"

Star had her board in her hand and her helmet on, but not done up. Her hair was down, and fell in soft waves along her back. Her helmet was hot pink as well as the deck of her skate board. She was wearing a dark purple hoodie, that had hot pink star designs all over it. She also was wearing dark wash skinny jeans, and of course her dark purple and hot pink converse. She looked like a real skater, despite the fact that her whole outfit was coordinated. And most skaters didn't do that. But then again she wasn't a skater, or anything else. She was herself.
Star was bored of sitting inside studying while she watched people go by outside her window, probably going to the mall, hanging out with friends, or going on a date. The few typical activities during the winter. But Star had to study for a test coming up. And then again she has been known to stay up late cramming the day before the test. So it took Star about a minute to get out the door. With her skate board in her hand she raced down the steps and out to the sidewalk. She threw down her board and hopped on. The wind on her face as she glided along was soothing and helped Star relax.
When Star arrived at the skate park she saw two girls from school sitting on a bench. She thought it was cool they were there, the skaters weren't exactly their "crowd". Star made her way over to the half pipe. It wasn't your typical little sissy pipe. It was big, and once most first timers got to the top they realized that and chickened out. But then there was the few that have closed their eyes and stepped off the edge. Star was one of those few. She loves the adrenaline rush she gets when she soars through the air, and when she gets to the other sides she usually does a little trick and has rarely ever bailed. Skate boarding just comes naturally to her.
Star finally decided to take a break. So she slowly glided over to the bench where the girls were sitting. Mind if I sit? she asked them.
