Dannie had just finished unpacking, and her new dorm room was boring the hell out of her. she’d never been to a boarding school befog, so she was use to her big room with a big bed, her bight pink wall that were covered in writing. Over the years she started it then her friends added more, and she had random signed things on her wall to from the people she’d worked with. Out of every thing she missed her piano, her guitar and her music. Normally she could just play for ages and not bother any one, but now she shared a tiny dorm which one, wouldn’t hold a grand piano, and if it could playing it would annoy the person she shared her room with.
Now she was just wondering round the horrid school she’d been dragged, kicking and screaming, to. She already hated it, but her parents were unsympathetic, they didn’t really care, they didn’t need to. They were half way around the world meeting Dannie’s idols, and friends, apparently she was too young to come, she had to finish school, but why she was just going to follow in her father’s foot steps and be a producer. She had been a producer from a toddler, but now she looked older and his clients took and interest in her, her father decided to send her way and lock her up.
Know she was wondering to find some sort of musical instrument so she could play and get some anger out of herself. Now her parents weren’t taking her phone calls so she couldn’t just shout at them. She walked past a closed door, but the sign said it was the auditorium. She pushed open the door and looked around the big room lined with seats, then the piano up on the stage took her attention. It was just what she’d been looking for. She walked to the front of the room then up on the stage. She walked along the stage to the piano on the other sid. The sound of her heels hitting the wood echoed around the hall. She sat down and put her delicate fingers on her keys. She started to play scales then she dropped her hands and sighed thinking of what to play. She though for a while then Kill The Messenger by Jack's Mannequin came to her head. She knew it with out sheet music. She placed her fingers back on the keys and started to play and hum alone until it got to the chorus were she started to sing in her so called angelic voice, that’s what her dad use to call it.
“Kill the messenger I swear it's not me It's just someone I used to know And get to church cause you're a good girl And he never told you that And all I need from you Could be the thing that Leaves us both up here forever I'm gonna send a little rain your way I'm gonna send a little rain...” [/b][/blockquote]

Robert walked into the auditorium, some random books and some music sheets in hand. He was thinking of writing a song, but nothing came to mind; he thought he would find inspiration in the ‘musical’ room as he called it. He heard a beautiful voice and piano music playing. He raised an eyebrow and tried to pay closer attention. There was a girl sitting there, probably a bit younger than him playing. He started walking to wards her, a smile placed on his face. His hair was a bit messy this morning and he was wearing a white shirt and some jeans. He looked at her and waited for a second, listening to the engaging melody.

Dannie continued to play and sing. Even thought it was kind of slow it got rid of some anger and hate she had for her parents and this school, but that’s what music always did. It helped her relax and cope with what ever life through at her, even if she was in this mess because of music and her future career, but soon her parents wouldn’t be in control of her and she could do her job and go out with any one she wanted to and they wouldn’t be able to do any thing.
She heard the door to the auditorium close she stopped singing and looked over to were the door was, at the same time she continued to play the piano her fingers hitting all the right notes. This was another problem she didn’t have at home, interruptions, but Dannie didn’t mind as much as she normally would. The guy was hot. The school was starting to look up, if there were other guys that were as hat as this one Dannie could have some fun after all.
She smiled at the guy and her delicate fingers lifted from the keys and after a second the echoing in the room stopped. “The room has good acoustics.” She said to the guy. Hoping he knew what she was on about and didn’t just carry music books around with him for the fun of it. “Sorry, I guess I want to use it” she said pointing to the piano.

Robert smiled and ran a hand through his hair, while getting closer to the girl at the piano. He leaned over the piano and extended his hand, his other hand resting upon it to steady himself. “I’m Robert Hecker! Nice meeting you! And you are?” he asked He was definitely entranced by this girl. She did have pretty good looks and her music sounded rpetty good. Just what he was looking in a girl. He gave another sheepish smile and cleared his voice a bit, looking around the auditorium. No one seemed to be there. ‘That’s good,’ he mused to himself as he waited for the girl to answer.

She watched him come closer and smiled "nice to meet you Robert, I’m Dannie Noir." she said and leaned over the piano and shook his hand. He might recognise her name, but she hoped not. She didn’t need to be reminded of her dad right now. Robert was hot and into music. That did seem to be her type recently so she was glad to meet some one like him straight away. Like him she looked round the room, they both seemed to be happy no one else was there. “I take it you play then?” she asked Robert.

“Dannie Noir? I like that name! It sounds…perfect,” he added and gave a small smile before regarding the piano with some kind of a distant look. “Yes, I play or I used to anyways. I like the guitar better though, the piano is in the past, although it is always a good time to start old habits. Haven’t played it since my grandpa died!” he said, a bit of sadness in his voice. “But enough about me. It always gets boring when I talk about myself and to be honest I don’t like talking about myself! But what about you? Your music capability is amazing, you are great at this,” Robert said sincerely and smiled.

"thank you" she said with a smiled, it was a complement she hadn't heard be for. "I'm sorry to hear that. i play guitar to, but this was the first thing i could find in the school. I think my dad will ship two of my guitars out soon. well i hope he will there still punishing me." she rolled her eyes.
she smiled again "thank you, but i really should be good." she laughed "my dad is Vincent Noir, he's a record producer, he's getting pretty big at the moment." she stop her self speaking about her dad. "any way, i went to work with him ever nice i was a toddler. i learnt there, the bands we produced would teach me stuff. so now i can sing, play guitar, piano and produce. its like second nature to me." she laughed slightly at the end of her long explanation.

Robert nodded and smiled. Dannie seemed to be a very musical person. He liked her! He looked around the auditorium once again and sat down on a nearby chair, still holding her gaze. “That’s great. I did think your name was familiar, now I know why. But let’s leave that, I don’t like to go into people’s business, if they don’t want me to. You had a great childhood then. Especially since you like music this much! I would want to grow up like that. My parents were rather normal, they just wanted me to have a good education and follow my dreams, so they paid for anything necessary. I like the piano, it’s a unique instrument. And I know this will sound kind of corny…,” he added and paused for a second, “but I associate it with a woman sometimes. They are so fragile, yet so pure and beautiful; they make an amazing sound and are perfect in their own way. Every piano is different!” he said, with a crooked smile as a very small blush hit his cheeks. He looked around and it disappeared almost immediately. He laughed a bit at his comment and locked his gaze with Dannie once more.

Dannie put her hands in the back pocket of her jeans like she so oftenly did, and stood listening to Robert. “The life I lived was fun while it lasted, but when daddy realises your no longer Daddy’s little girl and he doesn’t know what to do, he put the problem away until he can be bothered to deal with it. Your life sounds so much better. I could be a musician or an accountant, and I never was boring, so I chose music.” She laughed “and music has lead me to new places, people and experiences, and they were well worth being ship off to boarding school for.” She said looking at Robert, her life never was boring she was only 17 and if she died tomorrow would have more life experiences than some people in this place. “Know I’m here, but I think I can work with what this place has to offer.” She said while suttaly checking him out. She smiled after listening to what Robert said “corny yes, and only part true.” She said and walked over to him a little bit “beautiful, yes, perfect, yes, different, yes, amazing sound, yes, but fragile and pure, no.” she smiled and shock her head “I don’t agree with those two.”

Robert laughed at Dannie’s comments and nodded. “That’s true, I don’t know you, but I have to admit you don’t look that innocent yourself! I like girls who don’t really play by the rules, they’re fun to hang around with and very hard to find! Not many want to put their reputation out on the line here at Adelaide, so finding someone with some spirit is fun!” he added and gave a mischievous smile. He looked at his music and arranged his papers in a more orderly fashion before looking at her once more, trying to continue their conversation. “So I get you’re new and just moved? You like it here? Does Adelaide come up to your standards?” he asked jokingly and smiled.

Dannie laughed “yep, I’ve been called many things but innocent is not one of them.” She shock her head “being innocent is boring, and to hard of me. I follow impulses, not rules. I don’t think about my actions until after I do them. Which makes life very interesting. Trust me” she smiled back at him “That’s right, just moved here. I’m the new girl in town I guess.” She laughed and looked round the room and walk forward and closer to Robert when she stopped she looked at him again and shrugged but had a playful smile. “Well I haven’t seen much, but from what I have seen, I can work with it. So what do you crazy kids do for fun round here?” she asked and tilted her head a little

Robert laughed and looked at the back of his hand, where a nasty cut lay. It was healed, yet it was cicatrized. He crinkled his nose looking at it and sighed, turning his attention back to Dannie. “Not innocent at all, huh? I do agree with your perspective on life though! I think you should live life at its fullest and never regret a thing you do; it’s too short anyways,” he added and chuckled a bit. He thought about her questions and nodded, closing his eyes a bit, “We do a lot of things for fun! From playing sports after school, to going to the Marquee and hanging out at the Coffee Cove; it depends on what you are into, really.” He said and looked around the auditorium, that was completely silent, he felt a bit self-conscious for a second thinking how loud he was talking.
