Tia walked into the library with her lyric notebook in one arm and a Sandman comic book in the other. It was, in her opinion, too cold to go outside today, so she was going to spend it indoors. She sat down at a table and took the cap off of the pen in her pocket and began to doodle in the notebook.

Robert entered the library and unzipped his jacket. It was a shame that this marvelous place didn’t have an inside entrance and was separated from the rest of the school, even though it was part of it. He sighed and unzipped his leather jacket. He took it in one hand and went over to the nearby table. He noticed a girl, sitting at a nearby table doodling. It was always nice saying hi, so he went over and introduced himself, flashing his best and most perfect smile. “Hi, I’m Robert, is this seat taken?” he asked, pointing to the seat nearby.

Tia looked up, slightly startled. "No, of course not," she said. "I'm Tia," she added. She looked at the boy as she talked, and slowly drank in his features. He looks nice, she thought absently. She wondered what grade he was in.

“Nice to meet you, Tia,” he whispered and smiled once again. “You have a beautiful name. I don’t seem to recall your face. Are you new here?” Robert asked, a hint of curiosity clouding his gaze. “Nice doodling,” he observed, pointing at her notebook. “I’m here to read a bit, English homework, you know? I don’t know what made me take Honors this year, especially my senior year. It’s pretty hard! What year are you in, if I might add?”

"Thank you," Tia replied, surprised. "I am new here; I'm a junior." She flipped a page in her notebook. "I came here to try and get some inspiration for my songs. I've been working on one about the Bloody Revolution of 1989, but aside from that I've got nothing."

“Bloody Revolution, huh? Interesting subject. Of what country though?” he asked, another curious expression dawning on his face. His hair was messy today and he was wearing a nice white shirt with some ripped jeans that were really old, yet still comfortable and rather fashionable. He smiled and leaned back. He looked over the list of drinks and decided on a small cup of black coffee. It revitalized him and he loved the feeling. He waited for her answer as well as his order, while looking outside the window to the melting snow.

"Of Romania," Tia told him. There was silence for a little while, and she realized she was staring at him. God, he's beautiful, she thought. "So. . ." Tia said, trying to think of something to say. "Do you like winter?" Tia felt the pink tank top she was wearing under her long sleeve shirt slipping down as she talked. Damn, she thought. That tank top was all that separated her bare chest from the rest of the world. She tried to think of a way she could pull it back up without looking totally stupid. Please don't fall, please don't fall, she thought over and over again, willing the shirt to stay up.

“Um…you okay?” Robert asked as he saw her become a bit nervous. He looked a bit worried himself, hoping he wasn’t doing anything wrong. He gave a small smile as she started staring at him. He looked at the snow that lay outside one more time and crinkled his nose slightly. “Not really. It’s beautiful and all and sometimes gives me inspiration, but the cold is not that inviting! I don’t like to wear that much clothing, just some comfortable jeans and a T-shirt is my kind of thing, but in the winter I need to wear a lot more than that as to not freeze my ass off,” he laughed and looked at Tia’s cup of coffee. His order came in pretty fast and he took a slow sip after thanking the waiter. It made him feel a lot warmer and he was grateful for it.

"I don't know which I love more, spring or fall," said Tia,decideding just to let the tank top be. She played with the pen in her hand as she talked, sliding the cap on and off. "But I think spring is just a little better, because of all the green. Green is just such a wonderful color, it just sings of life. I don't know how anyone could kill anyone when there's green all around them." Tia laughed at herself, realizing how dumb she sounded. But she didn't care. There was something about Robert that made her want to tell the truth about everything, and not care about the consequences.

Robert laughed and took a sip of his cup of coffee. He gave a small smile and looked at the table a bit, thinking about her comments. He liked green too, although black came in first place. “I do agree with you. Green is life and life should be precious. Although don’t think I’m in depression or anything, but I love black. I just think it suits me better than light colors!” he added and looked at Tia who kept playing with her pen. He liked that she was comfortable around him, not like the rest of the girls who kept giggling and flirting. He felt pretty relaxed too. Leaning back in his chair, he tilted his head a little to get a better look at her, although he tried to be subtle about it.

Tia looked at him. "Yeah, I think you're right," she said. Suddenly she heard Thank you for the Venom by My Chemical Romance begin to play from her pocket. "Oops, sorry," she said, and took out her phone. Flipping it open, she said, "Hello? No, of course not. Listen, you have to decide. Either you want to or you don't." Tia hung up the phone with a sigh. "That was my friend Nathan," she said to Robert. "He's thinking about coming here, but he keeps waffling back and forth." She smiled. "Did you want to come here?" she asked. "Or did your family make you?"

Robert smiled thinking of his past. His parents wanted to give him the best education and for him to follow his dreams so he did and that’s hoe he reached this high class academy that he learnt to love. He chuckled slightly and added “It’s a very long story, are you sure you want to hear it> To say for short, I’ve been here since 9th grade and I love it; it’s fun and I have quite a reputation, a good one anyways. I try to be friends with everyone. I’ve worked hard for the things that I have at the moment and I wouldn’t give it up. My education is important to me and my parents so I guess that’s what brought me here in the first place!” he admitted and gave another crooked smile.

"That's really cool," replied Tia. "I like school, I guess. It's easy, so that's probably why I'm here. I would much rather be at a highschool that specializes in music, though," she admitted. "But the people here are wonderful. And I love New York. It's just so glamourous!" Tia laughed. She loved shopping with her friends, even if practically everything in the fancy New York malls cost too much for her.

“Music, huh?” Robert asked with a raised eyebrow. He loved music a lot as well. He gave a small shrug along with a dazzling smile. “I enjoy music, it’s one of my favorite things, although you cannot exactly call it just music, a thing, it’s an art that cannot be explained, is something you feel deep inside,” he added, putting his head on his chest, then laughed. “I sound corny, I know, but that’s mostly how I feel…um…and New York is pretty cool, I have fun, considering most people like to party every day, but everything else is pretty amazing. All the stores and the fashion all the girls are obsessed about, although I got to admit, it’s a great sight to see them dress up,” he said with a laugh, indicating he was joking and then continued, “ but yeah, it’s pretty awesome from my point of view. Did you make any new friends at the Academy, except for me of course!” Robert joked around, then relaxed and waited for her answer, while leaning back in his chair.

"Well, I managed to meet up with my best friend, Roseline," said Tia. "We met in France, and we're really close. And I've met Sean as well. But other than that, I'm on the outside of whatever's going on at this school." she smiled. She had never been in the center of things at her other schools. It had really surprised her that Roseline was so popular. Not that she didn't think her best friend deserved it, but she just hadn't figured her for that type of person. At least she's still nice, Tia thought. "So who are your friends?" asked Tia. She wondered what kind of people he hung out with, and if they could possibly be as interesting as Robert himself.
